Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut (Born of the Moon) was the fifth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt.  Daughter of Thutmose I and wife and half sister of Ahmose and stepmother of Thutmose III.  To maintain control of the empire after her husband's death, she adopted the appearance of a male (even wearing a beard!)  A strong goddess of the past.
