Castile soap is an olive oil based hard soap made in a style similar to that originating in the Castile region of Spain. The origins of Castile soap go back to the Levant, where Aleppo soap-makers have made hard soaps based on olive and laurel oil for millennia.   Plant Essentials makes it's own Palm Free Castile range of products in-store in Townsville, from scratch, using the finest cold pressed oils we can find.

• Organically grown Virgin Cold Pressed Olive Oil

The newest product, launched in our range today is our Castile Concentrated Paste.  You can use this new product in a variety of way as is or to make your own products with it. 

You can:

• Add a dab to a scour to clean pots and pan. 
• Mix with a little water and apply to oil stains on concrete then rinse.
• Dilute it 50/50 with distilled or purified water to make your own castile liquid.
• Add to a foamer bottle with other ingredients to create your own anti-bacterial hand wash.
• Blend with a few other ingredients to create your own body, hair or face cleansing gel.
• Make a dog wash.
• Make a multipurpose bench spray.
• Use it to clean virtually every hard surface in your house.
• And I'm sure there are many ideas I've not thought to list!

Calm & Clear Body wash Gel 200ml

What you need:

• Purified or Distilled water
• Essential oils of Copaiba, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang & Frankincense
• Castile Concentrated Paste
• Xantham Gum
• A wisk, Kettle, 2 x Pyrex jugs, strainer and a pump bottle

What you do:

• add 36g castile concentrated paste to pyrex jug.
• Add 160g warm water to pyrex jug. (temperature: a boiled kettle, let sit for 30 minutes ~ is about right)
• Mix around until the paste dissolves
• Add 5g (or a round teaspoon) of xantham gum to mix and whisk.
• Let sit for 15 minutes, whisk again.  Strain into another jug, then add to your storage bottle.
• Add the following drops of essential oil, cap and shake.  
• 10 drops Frankincense
• 30 drops Copaiba
• 20 drops Bergamot
• 7 drops Ylang Ylang

 Fresh & Clean Hand Wash 200g

What you need:

• Purified or Distilled water
• Essential oil blend - Four thieves
• Castile Concentrated Paste
• A whisk, Kettle, Pyrex jugs, and a foamer bottle 200ml

What you do:

• add 30g castile concentrated paste to pyrex jug.
• Add 160g warm water to pyrex jug. (temperature: a boiled kettle, let sit for 30 minutes ~ is about right)
• Mix around until the paste dissolves
• Let sit for 15 minutes, then pour in your storage bottle.
• Add the following drops of essential oil, cap and shake.  
• 60 drops Four Thieves

Fragonia Surface Spray 500ml

What you need:

• Purified or Distilled water
• Essential oil - Fragonia
• Castile Concentrated Paste
• Perfume Base
• A Kettle
• 500ml Trigger Spray bottle

What you do:

• Add 25g castile concentrated paste
• Add 50g warm water, cap and swish well to get ingredients to dissolve and merge. Let sit to dissolve for 15 minutes if necessary. (temperature: a boiled kettle, let sit for 30 minutes ~ is about right)
• Add 10ml Fragonia essential oil to your bottle, cap and swish well.
• Add 125ml perfume base, cap and swish well.
• Fill the remainder of bottle with purified water, cap and shake.
