Drink More Water with 5 Easy Tricks

We all know it’s important to drink your 8 glasses of water each day, but if you get tired of drinking litre after litre of flavourless water every day, it might be time to try a natural water additive to spice things up a bit.

Here are a few ideas to help make drinking your daily 2 litres easy and boost the benefits for your body.

1. Add a splash of citrus

Possibly the oldest trick in the book is to add a squeeze of lemon to your drink and then drop a fresh slice in for good measure. Lemon is a great natural cleanser, so it can help speed up the removal of unwanted toxins from your body and reduce that bloated feeling you can get from drinking lots of water.

2. Concoct a cucumber cocktail

Although normally quite flavourless, cucumber is a great way to naturally carbonate water. A great additive to this is some crushed mint leaves - every sip of your water will leave you feeling fresh and revitalised. Or, for another kick of flavour, throw in some ginger - leaving this to cool in the fridge for an hour or two will leave it tasting delicious.

3. Sip more tea – hot or cold

When you add tea to your water bottle the flavours will seep into your water across the course of the day even if the water isn’t boiled. We recommend Green Tea Powder. It has a fresh taste and, being high in antioxidants, does wonders for your body. Why not experiment with some of our other tea leaves and powders too

4. Get fancy with fruit

Why not sweeten the deal by adding some of your favourite fruits to your water bottle? The sweetness of a few slices of apple, pear, strawberry, kiwi fruit or peach will make for a tasty addition that is sure to help you drink more water throughout the day.

5. Carry a water bottle with you

If it’s there, you’re much more likely to drink it. Be sure to opt for a reusable, BPA-free water container though, so that you’re not undoing all the goodness of your increased water intake. Our range of H2Onya Water Bottles are good for you and good for the planet.

We encourage you to get creative with your H20 – it’s lots of fun and your body will thank you for keeping hydrated.
