Australian Essential Oil: The best natural essential oils

Are Australian Essential oils the best plant oils in the world?

Well, I definitely think so, but you could say I am a little biased.

Why not consider some of the evidence for yourself: why are Australian Oils the best?

Our products smell and feel gorgeous, and are great for your body, both inside and out. And this is because of where we start. While we have a wide range of wonderful products, including skincare, beauty products and natural teas, the base of everything that we do is in our essential oils. If we didn’t start with top quality oils, we couldn’t finish with top quality products.

Essential oils, known as nature’s living energy, are the natural, aromatic volatile liquids found in flowers, trees, roots, and seeds. The distinctive components in essential oils defend plants against insects, environmental conditions, and disease. They are also vital for a plant to grow, live, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings.

Our essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant sources via different methods including steam distillation, CO2 extraction, solvent extraction and cold pressing, and are highly concentrated. They have been used by clever and healthy humans for centuries to promote wellbeing and create a happy home.

Incredible Native Plants and Herbs

In Australia we are so fortunate to have a range of native flowers, trees and herbs to work with, and the ones you can name are only the beginning. At Plant Essentials we source organic oils from home grown plants and as much local, wild and organic ingredient as possible.

aromatherapy for beginners workshopWhile we also source the very best organically grown and produced oils from special crops around the world, including India and Tanzania, the ones found Down Under are truly unique.

European plant oils tend by be light and floral, while Australian oils are often much stronger, fresher and bolder. When blended with more delicate fragrances they are simply amazing. Because of our soil and our particular climate, the trees, native flowers and herbs found in Australia are unlike any in the world.

Here are some wonderful essential oil varieties that are uniquely Australian

Eucalyptus Oil

Famously native to Australia, eucalyptus oil is now sought after all over the globe. At Plant Essentials we have a range of different eucalyptus, including Blue Mallee and Scented Lemon. This warming and drying oil has antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, repels insects, aids headaches, arthritis, congestion, and is stimulating and uplifting.

Sweet Fennel

With a sweet, liquorice-like aroma, fennel has traditionally been used as a stomachic and carminative. In skin care, it is recommended to enliven dull and oily skin and mature complexions.  Fennel has long been used for the relief of indigestion and flatulence, can relieve premenstrual symptoms and fluid retention. While none of these uses sound very romantic, they certainly make this oil essential.

Australian Sandalwood

Sweet, woody fragrance & benefits dry skin. It is a fixative, helping products maintain their overall fragrance. Sandalwood helps to relieve nervous tension, stress and mild anxiety.  In skincare it is used for the relief of acne and dry skin.  Sandalwood has anti-inflammatory properties (reduces redness) and may be used for dry and sensitive skin.

Tea Tree

One of the true kings of essential oil, tea tree is a strong anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory oil that has many applications in skin care. It disinfects without being harsh and so is useful for cleansing broken skin. An essential to add to your first aid kit, it promotes the healing of wounds and scrapes and soothes insect bites, and also relieves muscles aches, and is a wonderful cold and flu remedy. A highly cleansing oil, great for teenage skin, suitable for dry hair shampoo. It is a purifying and cleansing oil used in skincare for the temporary relief of symptoms of eczema, cold sores and rashes.

Lemon Myrtle

Lemon Myrtle from the Mt Warning region, a cheerful lemon lime fragrance that is uplifting and invigorating and useful for relaxation, uplifting emotions and soothing sleep.

So many happy customers…

I love to talk to our customers and hear their happy reports of using our products. Because our essential oils are of such good quality and can be custom blended or mixed with our other products for your exact needs, you can trust that these are the best.

Ok, I am not biased, just wise. Our Australian natural essential oils are the very best essential oils in the world.
